Forbes just dropped their annual "Billionaire" list and for the first time in about 15 years an 'American' isn't at the top..not that this really matters to us but much fuss was made about Mr.Billy Gates (53 bil) not being the #1 guy..instead his spot was relinquished to a Mr. Carlos Slim (53.5 bil) which is interesting enough..Mr.Slim is a Mexican native who built the majority of his fortune on his booming Telecommunications empire..Slim has business dealings from the NY Times to insurance and finance firms..many people in Slims' own Mexico had mixed feelings about his latest accomplishment seeing as how many of Mexico's people live in very impoverished and poor conditions....any spot on this list would serve us well peep it

ReplyDeleteYour guess is as good as ours..but that's mainly what the uproar was about..the fact that he hadn't donated any substantial amount or that he hadn't made an attempt to rebuild the infrastructure...which wouldn't be surprising.
