Pee and Grow

An interesting concept to say the least, a small village in China had a bright idea that instead of flushing their community's “waste” in to the sea, they would reuse it to fertilize plants.  By setting up a system to capture sterile urine they are able to minimize 20 tons of carbon dioxide emissions that could be emitted into the atmosphere by the use of artificial fertilizers.

Often the solution is closer than we think.  -LK

Birds of A Feather.

A little something for you to look forward to coming from our forthcoming collection....we promised a little newness and deliver we must..but unfortunately our details will be sparse as we continue to work out our kinks...Stay Tuned, and Humble.

Like a feather we float aimlessly a long the winds current with our destination unknown. Fate motivates our flight and steers our course towards a resting place only to be swept up again with the next gust of purposeful breeze. The beginning of a new adventure, challenge, or opportunity perhaps?

TIME will only tell of course, but one thing is for certain...destiny is a journey. -LK

Sunday on a Saturday/Domestic vs. Abroad. [Double Entendre]

I always find it amazing how the paper system works and how the Sunday paper from another state could be delivered on a Saturday evening (we purchased this piece of press @ approx. 8:48p)...Secondly, the title in itself was very interesting as this is one of the things we find ourselves in the board room arguing about consistently, whether or not to take our production efforts overseas or keep them domestic..we pride ourselves on being an American brand from top to bottom and would certainly like to think that we will some day very soon provide jobs for more americans..of course this argument has two sides..domestic production comes with considerably higher costs than does overseas, but in the end we hope that our supporters will value a brand that not only gives back but also creates fruitful opportunities as well. -LK

Weekend Work.

Film School customs & Buttons..

We actually managed to slide in a few hours of much needed work this weekend as well..with a good bredren of ours heading off to film school we were called upon to supply some very important 'going away' presents & this included a set of our yet to be released "Summer Shades" lanyard as well as the 'Smores' bracelet.. not to overdue ourselves we also decided it would be a good idea to retire a couple of old faithful buttons we currently have in circulation in various places throughout the country...but not to worry as you can see in the background we have the next batch coming your way shortly...June 1st..Start something NEW. -LK

(The "Summer Shades" lanyard will be available to M/F)

Ear Phones from Wood..Yes!!

Of course we always remain pretty inconsistent with our posts and rarely give it to you as we should, but I'd like to think that's because were using our time doing more important things for you likeee getting our 'real' site together for a much needed release and attempting to study for our upcoming graduation finals *deep sigh* but other than that it's back to the basics..on one of our daily web surfs we came across some very interesting ear phones that looked like they shoulda been straight from an LK catalog..in due time, but the good folks @ ThinkSound have def made a pair worth talking about..If the Beats by Dre phones are a bit much for you and your an eco-friendly tree hugger  than you should def consider supporting this cause, ours are on the way..who woulda thought that wood could be so cool...but we shalt not spoil it for you click the link for more. -LK

"Best Planet We Know About" Day

(Pictured is our famous little Bamboo tree pictured in many of our impromptu photo shoots...we feel similar to a proud dad as we've watched this young seedling grow into a budding young tree-ling SUPPORT the EARTH. SUPPORT Life.)

In a week filled with holidays, it would almost be disrespectful for us to not show a little love for mother EARTH...while the majority of us usually take this faithful planet for granted it's important that we at least take a NC minute to appreciate the LIFE this planet allows us to live...so in your daily haste take a sec to pick up a bottle, water a plant, or plant a tree..if this all seems a bit much for you to handle...hold your breath and count to a MILLION... -LK

LIFE..the Miniseries

New York Times: For an ambitious new nature miniseries, the Discovery Channel has signed up one of the most recognizable voices on television, Oprah Winfrey.
The media mogul and talk show host will narrate the 11-part series, which is called "Life," the channel is expected to announce Monday. "Life," a production of the BBC, is intended as a follow-up to "Planet Earth," the breathtaking 2007 miniseries...It certainly won't be long before you find your favorite lifestyle company on the plush couches of the Oprah show spewing our heart's greatest desires..in this case "not long" equals by the end of next year seeing as how the groundbreaking telecast will soon be ending. -LK

Torch Please!

DreamVille & NC's own J.Cole got the chance to come home and grace the stage with Hov himself as the BP3 tour landed in Greensboro, NC..being DreamVille natives it was definitely good to see our brother come full circle and continue to rep our city..."Could I be a star..does fame in this game have to change who you are?". Much Love. You can also peep Cole on the covers of the 'Source' magazine as well as the XXL freshmen cover. -LK

A little CornHusker Love.

So over the past few weeks we've been scrambling similar to the headless chicken after the loss of one our most important friends...the HP DV6000..no of course this isn't a person but the feelings are similar especially since we held our most precious company possessions on that 3.6 lb piece of foreign manufactured technology...but nonetheless we found a few bright spots within the past few weeks...some of our good friends from the distant lands of mid-western Omaha, Neb sent us a few pictorials certainly changing any skewed view we may have possibly had of the 'Cornhusker' land...much thanks is definitely owed to our extended fam Shannon & Leron and photos by Terrence Tryon. -LK

From V-Day to P-Day

As we consume the last of our candied message hearts and pay homage to the Lincoln's, Eisenhower's, Kennedy's & Truman's..we would certainly like to thank all who supported and contributed to our Love Kit campaign which we must say was a certain success and as a result we will be extending the sale of the Love Kit until the 28th of Feb.....please pardon us as we 'ride the wave' of humanitarism but we spoke a few weeks back of our plans to create a bracelet for our Haiti project and we are certainly still on track to do this and in the coming weeks we shall post a few pictorials of our latest concoction...with the absence of Anderson Cooper and the rest of the major network cameras, the people of Haiti are still despartely in need of addtional assistance and hopefully we can do our part to make this happen..stay tuned & happy weekend from LifE KiT.

As we promised..the Preview to the Preview to the Preview.

Our blog posts and social presence has been a little slack as of late..do excuse us as we are doing our best to put the finishing touches on our latest project as well as a few new ones we're sure our supporters will certainly appreciate..one of these projects we will be releasing a lot sooner than we expected  due to the anticipation being a lot greater than we expected, which is certainly one of those 'good problems'..so we bless you with a few sneaks of our latest creation..the Love Kit..of course explaining it now would be nice but we're all about creating the suspense factor and setting the mood :)..-LK
