Some love it others loath it, but do we really understand it? Are we living in a true Democracy? Is our government acting in the interest of the average American or for the financial benefit of the top 1%? Should the American "Pie" be divided or should we all "bake" our own? Do we ALL have access to the "American Dream?"
Some contribute the economic climate and financial meltdown to the greed that capitalism endorses. Others say that capitalism is the best thing to happen to the county. Is capitalism friend or foe? Who truly knows; we all must recognize that if we want to progress individually and as a society we must began to fundamentally understand that the welfare of the collective lies in the welfare of the individual. -LK
